The Spambot war continues... it was under control for the last few months but it seems like we have been getting hit hard these last few weeks. We are getting about an average of ten per day. I've been looking for the IPs that they are coming from but have had no luck... if I can block their IP addresses then that usually shuts them out.

Anyway, please make sure that you do not click on any of their home pages when they sign up. They cannot post but they are hoping that you will click on the home page in the member profile. That's how these jack-offs make the pennies that they earn.

Thanks

The Spambot wars continue... I'd like to think that I'm winning because I delete them as quickly as they sign up... however there are times that I can't get to to it so the above post still applies.

To the Spambotz out there... get a real life?!!! Or die!!!

There is an easier way to get rid of them as you will NEVER be able to stop them signing up. These people never post, so you simply delete all accounts in the admin area that have zero posts. You WILL lose some people who are legit readers, but, if they are not posting they are not contributing, so it is their loss. You can get rid of hundreds in one swift cut. You should make a thread that demands new members to say hello, therefore they now have one post, and will not be deleted. if they are too dumb or lazy to do so, I guarantee they will end up being a detriment anyhow.

It never gets to that point because they are deleted before they are ever activated. I can usually tell the spammers by there email and their web page. Delete!

I've never understood why anyone setups an account but never posts... I mean that's up to them but that's the whole idea of a forum... it's for you to ask questions or just add to the conversation.

The Spam bot wars continue! We are getting about 5 new accounts created every day... mostly from China and Russia. I try to clean them up as soon as they are created but sometimes I can't get to them right away.

So... please DO NOT click on their home page... that's the only way these bastards make any money. They cannot post until I activate their account and none have ever gotten past that point.

So die you fuckers!

I wish I could but I am limited from what I can do and that's not an option. What I would really like is that they have to send me an email to request a membership on the forum like I do for the main web site but again that's not an option.

I do block their IPs when I catch them on the web site and that helps. But they're like rats... get one and another four try to get in.

The SPAM wars have heated up in the last couple of weeks. We are getting about 10 to 20 SPAMMERS sighing up for the forum per day. Again, please do not click on their websites because this is the only way they make money. So Sam, no clicking on www bigtitees.com no matter how much you want to.

none have ever made it through to be able to post their garbage on the forums and as long as I can help it they won't.

So to the SPAMMERS out there... go FUCK yourselves and die!! Don't waste your time or mine because you will be deleted as soon as you join.

But even if Sam could get a hold of the big ones in real life, he would need to visit - www.stepladders.com, so that he could reach them.

Not necessarily mate. If he has a penchant for an older cougar or two, he could go to www.cougarfootwarmers.com

I hear you on that one Lee. I got the same thing going on with PHPBB3.

I put reCaptcha, but still, for human bots, it cannot do anything.
