Since I'm Maltese and my Grandfather was in the Britsih Army waiting to defend against an invasion that never happened and that both my parents lived through it... this one means a lot to me. There is some great footage and in colour at that! It's in three parts but worth watching.

Excellent! I am part Maltese as well.

My grandparents came to Canada in 1948. My grandfather was a shipwright during WW2 employed in His Majesty's Dockyard and served with the Home Guard of Malta.

Lots of interesting stories. Thanks for sharing these.

With a name like Higgins I'm going to guess that it's your mom that's Maltese. Wink

Birth name is actually Fortney. Father passed away young, mom remarried. Now a proud Higgins.

Grandfather is Porter, grandmother is Farrugia. You can spot the obvious Maltese name, even though they both hail from Malta.

We've got Farrugia's in the family. My Mother's grandfather was Scottish so yeah I should know better. Laughing
