Lee,

Are we going to be able to borrow one of those officers tents you mentioned? We'll need a place to crash for the night. And you buggers better not snore. Louder than me.

You can use the pup tent for the beer then...

Glynn.

Its looks positive, that I won't make Russel Airshow on the 14th.

Maybe on the 15th.

Thanks for the offers though.

Much appreciated!!

Gynn, I'm hoping that we will be getting the Officer's tent (Sam, can you check with Brit ter when you see him tomorrow) otherwise I will be bringing a modern tent and we will have to take it down before the crowd comes. My modern tent says that it sleeps four and two in the pup tent so that six. Sorry to tell ya but my wife says I can saw the logs pretty good.

1. If you are camping overnight, then bring your uniform and gear with you. If not don't worry about it.
2. Hell yes private! I've got two foxholes to dig and sand bags to fill. Wink

Thanks,
Lee

Okay then, I'll bring along my modern tent as well, a good few years old, a small two man job from my mountaineering days, I don't think it would fit two now!

If your snoring is that bad, maybe I'll bring some curry to go with the beer, it'll give us all something to complain about! LOL Twisted Evil

It's only the CQ that you have to worry about Crash... in an open field you should be fine! Laughing

And if you spent time up in Leeds then you'll know exactly what the 'few pints and a 2am curry' generates... Laughing

Terry (Brit ter) says (this is if my memory is correct from today)
There will be two officers tents, and 4 smaller tents. They are using 2 of the smaller tents and 1 officers. I will send him an email to make sure however.

There should be a Stug Tank at the show as one of the german reenactors owns it himself, but it is not confirmed. There should be German aircraft however.

Memel and Angry Chef came out to the game today, Memel said "PLEASE use a real shovel and not a shorty model when you dig"

For you Airborne chaps, there will be another Bren Gun Carrier at the show.

Shorty for show... real shovel to dig.

Sleeping bag, waterproof tent (just incase), tooth brush, PJs... whatever you need to get through the night. Anything modern will have to be taken down and put away before the public shows up. If we get one of the officer's tents then we will not need to use the modern.

Temp is looking good... no real cold nights and the day temps are very livable. Might be wet on Saturday but let's hope that will change.

Saturday night dinner is BBQ chicken and we only have to pay for the chicken (whatever that means). Water will be supplied but bring your own pop and or beer for after the show. Breakfast $5 and lunch, I believe will be free. Or bring your own chow.

Got a PM back from Brit Ter this morning, we should have the officers tent for our group.

Bring your own tents just in case though, these things do have a tendency to go pear shaped.

Cheers,

Glynn.
