Hello Everybody, I'm planning on starting a Greek unit Circa 1940-41. I wanted to reach out and see if there would be anybody interested at all. The reason I chose the 1940-41 era, is because it was unique to the Greeks in terms of uniform and equipment. After 1941 the remnants of the army were equipped by the British to fight on in the middle east and Italy. They wore the standard British pattern 37 uniform. I already have my full 1940-41 load out, and would be more than happy to share any information.
Thank you everybody.
The following is a little History

On 28 October 1940, after Greek prime minister Ioannis Metaxas rejected an Italian ultimatum demanding the occupation of Greek territory, Italian forces invaded Greece from Albania. The Greek army counter-attacked and forced the Italians to retreat. By mid-December, the Greeks occupied nearly a quarter of Albania, tying down 530,000 Italian troops. In March 1941, Operation Spring (Operazione Primavera), an Italian counter-offensive failed and on 6 April, Nazi Germany invaded Greece through Bulgaria and Yugoslavia, beginning the Battle of Greece.

On 12 April, the Greek army retreated from Albania to avoid being cut off by the rapid German advance and on 20 April, the Greek Epirus Army Section surrendered to the Germans. On 23 April, the armistice with Germany was repeated with the Italians, ending the Greco-Italian war. By the end of April, the Axis occupation of Greece had been completed by Italian, German and Bulgarian forces, with Italy occupying nearly two thirds of the country. The Greek victory over the initial Italian offensive of October 1940 was the first Allied land victory of the Second World War and helped raise morale in occupied Europe.

Bill, good luck in getting a unit put together. You should post a picture of your impression.

Still can't figure out how to post pictures though ? You guys really give me the bug for this thing , after going to your event , I just want to do more and more, what a rush!!. I feel like I need to go to an AA meeting ( Airsofters anonymous)! I can't wait till the next event. I'll be waiting anxiously.

Hi I'd love to go to this. As my luck would have it I registered for my firearms course November 30th.
I don't think I'd be able to participate or could I be wrong?
Thanks,
Bill

Able to participate of course, shoot.. unfortunately no unless your PAL comes in.
I'm sure there is something for you to do. Even running around with an empty airsoft rifle, getting "mercy" kills or lugging ammo is something.

Hope to see you out!

I don't know about Allies but Axis without a PAL got to fire mortars and Panzerschreck during last October event. Worst case you'll be cold, wet and suffering for the whole weekend Smile

Even without a PAL we can always find something for you to do... Medic, runner, even go on patrols... you're just not going to be able to shoot.
