Thanks Crash for hosting! I had a blast. It was great that Crash arranged for the prizes and the entertainment... I myself have not seen this at any events and was worthing the price of admission.

The entertainment was great... it was neat to be watching Band of Brothers under the stars and in my 101st Easy Coy uniform. Thanks to Stonewall for providing the equipment... it was a great setup.

Okay... it may not be a surprise to hear that the boys got pushed out of Carentan. But we did some pushing ourselves. And it wasn't a total loss... I won a battery charger and got to see Douglas' toys... one word... WOW!

Thanks again Crash!

Gotta say it was a great event. Adding the flag and the scenarios we worked on gave it a good historical feel. Perhaps singing is the next logicla step. It is also good to see the proportion of period weapons/impressions increasing at a good pace.

The night scenarios were really good. The fog of war makes things a lot of fun and those raskelly Americans kept coming up with bold new tactics for us to counter.

Thanks for a great event Crash, Operation Market Garden is very tempting.

Well now that the event is going to be more local you'll have no excuse not to attend.

Oh... and start practicing...

We pull upon the risers,
We fall upon the grass.
We never land upon our feet,
We always hit our ass!
Highty tighty, Christ almighty!
Who the hell are we?
Zim-Zam god damn! We're Airborne Infantry!

BTW, start learnin now,
Crash got the tunes, I got text

Obs stürmt oder schneit,
Ob die Sonne uns lacht,
der Tag glühend heiß,
oder eiskalt die Nacht;
bestaubt sind die Gesichter,
doch froh ist unser Sinn, ja unser Sinn,
...., es braust unser Panzer im Stumwind dahin.
