Seen a few of these lists floating around for other time periods, let's get one started for ours.

1) You think spending $40 on a new pair of modern dress pants is absurd,
but find spending $100 on original Canadian BD trousers to be perfectly
reasonable.

2) You've found mistakes in museum displays.

3) When looking at photographs from the war, you spend more time looking at the kit they're wearing/using than at what they're doing.

4) Coarse wool clothing feels just as comfortable as modern clothing.

5) You think sitting at the computer trying to find out some obscure detail
about your impression or the unit you portray is a perfectly acceptable
way to spend a Saturday night.

6) Your house/room starts to smell like a surplus store.

Heh, yup.

I spent $60 on work boots, thought "Fucking expensive!"

$120 on boots I wear once and awhile = "Good buy!"

Priorities man.

When you buy a bigger house because you need more room for your Stuff.

When your wife says... Don't buy any more stuff because we're not buying a bigger house.

When you open your garage and the guy next door standing in his driveway tells you is smells.

When the smell from the basement starts to creep up through the first floor then to the second. (Wife loves this one let me tell you)

When your thinking about buying a house that sits on 15 acres so you can install a huge ass garage!

You know you are a 2nd World War Reenactor when you get out to an event, even if it's raining. The rest is just whatever.

When you log on to this website before news or social media sites while having your morning coffee before heading out to work...

Surplus store smell coming out of the closet - check!
Lack of storage space due to gear - check!
Woman asking questions about strange looking clothes and items coming in mail - check !

She actually admitted that German gear looks awesome Smile Especially woolies.

You convert your wife to being involved in re-enacting to the point she looks forward to going to antique shows just to find that extra piece for her impression Mr. Green
