Hi, I just wanted to purpose a future interest in possibly starting up a Polish airborne unit, as one of the major units is the British Red devils, and the Polish helped them out on a number of occasions.

This is just a unit idea I was possibly interested in, so let me know what you guys think.

thanks for your input and suggestions.

Jake

I believe there are at least 2 ontario guys on ASC very slowly putting together Polish paratrooper impressions. So you aren't alone in this regard. I'd love to do it too but I need to work on my Gene Hackman first.

Sadly, keep in mind that building a unit that isn't 101st or Waffen SS for airsoft goes at a glacial pace around here.

Best of luck.

You can get the insignia, it's not impossible. Some people overseas have certainly done it. The thing to remember is, the Polish Independent Parachute Brigade only saw action once, at Driel, south of the Lower Rhine during Market Garden. That means that unless you really want to twist history it will be a very limiting impression. Straight British airborne allows you to do anything from 1942 until the end.
