I was reviewing some documents about 1 Can Para. There was a Standing Order in 1 Can Para, that all webbing was to be Blanco'd. So in that light, we need to consider blanco options. I have found a source for the Terrago No 34 Olive Shoe Cream. It does have to be shipped from the UK, as they have no North American Supplier I can find.

I have a source for the Terrago Shoe Cream. I would suspect you would need two tubs of it.

http://www.blancoandbull.com/repro-blanco/rolling-your-own-kg3-the-shoe-cream-method/

So considering that 1 CAN PARA had a standing order that everthing was to blanco'd. We need to get some.

So who is in?

I will be down for it.

Just curious....when was the order issued? I know that most of the Canadian units did blanco their webbing for a fact.

I have located source for a reproduction powder puck Blanco. I have been told that you will need 2 pucks to completely cover a set of webbing. The pucks are 25.00 each, that includes shipping.

So who wants? I will be placing the order at the end of Feb or early March.

I would have thought Canadian units wold have done the same, but all British units blacnoed their webbing. I have to do it to my new webbing at our training weekend in March.

As to a supplier, I can cehck with my current re-enactment friends as to what the best current supplier is but most people buy it from soldier of a fortune (a company in Wales). They do mail internationally and according to their ctatalogue the charge is based on weight. According to their catalogue it's 8 for the blanco, and they have all sorts. Pre-war, 1940, 1944, MP ect. Take your pick. Here's the link and obviously head to the re-enactment section.

sofmilitary.co.uk

I can say they are very good trader, I have used them twice now (one with a huge order) and they are used by most units in the UK.

Hope this helps!
Joe.

Somewhat of a Necro but might be useful.

If you're looking for Tarrago shoe cream here is the place to order from.
They are in the US, ship USPS and I ordered on monday and received the package on friday. Nice place! Not too expensive either.

Just used SOF Blanco to turn Navy white gaiters into a pair I can wear. Very good stuff; it does a great job. Looks like real Blanco. I highly reccommend it.

Same here, ordered the SOF Blanco with a few items over a year ago. Misplaced the stuff for nearly a year. Finally found it and blancoed most of my kit a few weeks back. Worked out great.
