Take him up on it Hans, i made my own stencils for everything from helmets, field gear, uniforms and signs. The stencils you buy are over priced for what they are, when i do mine i just print on sticker printing paper.....works great and gives clean lines

What sort of crates? No matter what Indiana Jones movies says, not everything in Germany had big NSDAP eagles emblazoned all over them...most supply crates just had stock and lot numbers, not much else.

Gents, please dont put eagles or swastikas on crates or anything like that. Crates and the like were never marked in this manner.

In fact there are no weapons transit cases. If you're going to make or build them, leave them natural wood- don't paint them- and mark them with the paper tags/acceptance marks that may have been ammunition or powders etc

For a reference, go here:

http://wehrmachts.kisten.free.fr/

Painted crates are very rare- They're usually a black or a dark coloured feldgrau- grey ones would be Kriegsmarine type crates and rare at that. leave them natural wood and seal with a linseed oil or a tung oil if you want
