I'm wondering if there is anyone who produces really good customized repro soldbuchs? If anyone knows of a source for a repro sourcebook filled out with data I select I would be most grateful to hear it.

For those really trying to do a great impression I have found three sources that will do a Soldbuch for you, as well as complete various other documents for you.

They are:

http://www.reenactorstuff.com/auction/ (the site owners do the work)

http://www.geocities.com/soldat272/documents.html

http://www.soldat.com/

They are listed in order of cost (least to most). The middle one has nice photos of his work up, but is pretty backlogged right how and has about an 8 week turn around. All of them have you fill out a basic info form and if necc will fill in some of the missing data on your behalf if you want.

I am having mine done by the third vendor, as he is also doing some other work for me. I will post a review when it arrives and of course will bring it to games this summer, for those who can get close enough to inspect it.

My Soldbuch, metal tags and other assorted docs arrived today and I think they look pretty damned good. Soldbuch looks well used and stamps look sharp and readable.

I will make sure it is in my pocket for the next event if anyone wants to see it.
